Dr. Ana Gabriela Lara N.D.

From the moment you meet Dr. Lara you can see how passionate she is about health and about naturopathic medicine.  She strives to empower and educate her patients to help them take ownership of their health.  Through her own health journey, she understands the challenges that exist when we are unwell.  She believes that she cannot expect something from her patients that she herself has not tried or understood.  This way she can help guide her patients through some of the challenges when changing health habits.

Dr. Lara is a member of the College Of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).  She is also a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND).

She has been involved in the health industry for over 24 years.  She completed her undergrad in Biochemistry and completed her education as a Doctor in Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (www.cccnm.edu) 2004.

Her biggest passions are both to learn and teach – this has led her to study under some of the most renowned doctors of natural medicine in the world.  She has been a regular presenter for the Brock University Med Plus Program.  Fiercely passionate for her profession – mentoring and working with students has led  many of them to become naturopathic doctors themselves.

Dr. Lara is continuously searching for ways to improve the health therapies available to her patients.  Her strong belief in the impact of lifestyle on health is what drives her.  She focuses on the main pillars that make up our day-to-day health – Diet and Digestion, Energy, Sleep, Mood and our Sense of Well Being.   Her therapies are therefore aimed at optimizing or correcting issues in any of these.

Because of her own and her family’s health issues and experiences with acne, hormones, eczema, intolerances and allergies, she has particular interests in dermatology, endocrinology and gastroenterology.  She has also worked with midwives in the area due to her interest in pediatrics and pre/post natal care.
